What is
Veterinary Physiotherapy?

Veterinary Physiotherapy involves the clinical assessment and treatment of any musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiorespiratory and/or biomechanical dysfunctions such as lameness in animals.

The source of pain / loss of function can be located in specific structures and so optimal, directed treatment can be administered to promote repair and recovery.

Francesca Campani

MSc Vet Phys, PGDIP Vet Phys, MIRVAP

Francesca’s passion for animals began at a young age when she started riding horses. A keen show jumper herself, she has a knowledgeable and pragmatic approach to injury rehabilitation and management.

Since physiotherapy and hydrotherapy for animals were not well-developed in Italy, she decided to follow her dream career and moved to the UK in 2017. Here, she completed an FdSc in Equine Physical Therapies and Rehabilitation, followed by a BSc (Hons) in Equine Science, and earned a MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy from The University of Nottingham.

Francesca's eagerness to learn is ongoing, and she is always keen to explore new rehabilitation techniques for canine and equine patients or expand her knowledge of pathology and physiology.

She is registered with the International Register of Veterinary and Animal Physiotherapy (IRVAP).

Hayley Druce

BSc (Hons) Vet Phys, MIRVAP (VP)

Hayley's path to Veterinary Physiotherapy began after her own horse was diagnosed with sacroiliac dysfunction. With little to no rehab resources available, a passion for Veterinary physiotherapy was born.

Hayley founded Berkshire Vet Rehab after graduating university with a 2:1 degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy in 2020. She has treated many animals including dogs, horses and other small animals for various conditions.

As a member of the governing body IRVAP, Hayley undertakes 25 hours of additional training called continuous professional development (CPD) each year in various veterinary related topics. As a result, each animal is receiving the latest and highest quality treatment in each scenario for optimal rehab.
